Meet Our Principal
Stage Awaits was founded with a simple belief: performing arts has the power to change lives. More than just singing, dancing and acting, we believe in creating a place where young people can build confidence, discover who they are and develop friendships that last a lifetime.
At the heart of Stage Awaits is our Principal, Eleanor Faulkner. Eleanor's own journey in the performing arts began at just three years old, when she first discovered her love of dance and performance. From an early age, she was part of a competition team, nurturing the passion and determination that would shape her future.
At the age of twelve, Eleanor was awarded a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Barbara Speake Stage School in London, where she continued to develop her skills and pursue her dreams. Four years later, she began three years of professional training through a scholarship at The Wilkes Academy, graduating with a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Musical Theatre, specialising in all three disciplines: singing, dancing and acting.
Throughout her career, Eleanor has performed in professional pantomimes in London and worked as a backing dancer in music videos. However, it was through teaching that she discovered her true passion and joy for sharing her knowledge. Inspiring young people, watching their confidence grow and helping them find a love for the performing arts quickly became the most rewarding part of her journey.
Today, that passion forms the foundation of Stage Awaits. Every class is built around the belief that every child deserves to feel valued, supported and encouraged to shine, whatever stage of their journey they are on.
