The safety, well-being and happiness of every child is at the heart of everything we do.
At Stage Awaits we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We strive to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to reach their full potential through performing arts.
We believe that every child has the right to be safe, to be treated with respect, and to enjoy their time with us in a positive and supported atmosphere.
We take a proactive approach to safeguarding and have a number of measures in place, including:
All teachers and staff hold current enhanced DBS checks, which are regularly renewed.
Our team receive regular safeguarding training to ensure they are up to date with best practices.
Our team members are first aid trained to deal with any accidents or emergencies that may occur.
Our class sizes are kept in line with recommended guidelines to ensure every child receives the right level of support and supervision.
We have clear reporting procedures in place for reporting and responding to any concerns about a child’s welfare.
Our safeguarding policy and procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure we continue to meet the highest standards of care and protection.
If you have any concerns about the welfare of a child, please contact our Safeguarding Lead:
